Kaya Hussain

Born and raised in the UK, Kaya Nuha hussain has Always been interested in writing. As a first step towards becoming a writer Kaya started working to her school, newspaper when she was in primary school. Kaya published her first book ‘Zimmi’s Wish' (2014) at the age of eleven, garnering much acclaim and positive response. She has received several, awards including a community Young hero Award and recognition from the Local, United Nations Association for Literacy. Kaya enjoys reading horror/fantasy stories, writing, shopping, having milkshakes, going to the cinema, and playing her guitar. inspired by her own experiences and all that she witnessed, Kaya wrote 'The New qirl,' in the hope that the story would encourage children to stand up for themselves. She continues to write short stories, poems and has been published in the UK.
